Internship are available to young adults who have recently or are currently aging out of the foster care system. Interested individuals should also be prioritizing continued education, such as college or technical school, and seeking a part-time remote job.
Yes, the internships are paid. Interns start at $12 an hour and have the opportunity to earn more as they gain experience.
Perfectly Polley’s internship program lasts for one year and can be renewed annually. Interns are eligible to work up to 20 hours per week.
Interns can expect to learn bookkeeping skills as well as soft skills. Soft skills include being coachable, how to show up on time, how to ask good questions and how to conduct research. Interns will also receive skills training in areas such as budgeting, applying for scholarships, finding good living situations and doing laundry.
